About a month ago, when things were beginning to be more settled with Ethan, we decided to throw a simple party to celebrate his 4th month. The convention is to hv a first mth party but since E was still in nicu & upon discharge, still tiny, we decided not to do anything then. However, we really wanted to thank our closest friends & family for journeying with us so finally we got down to planning.
I wanted something that was minimal on effort but big on impact so aft looking at pininterest for a bit, I decided I cld do a crepe paper backdrop & some photo booth props. Then about 2 weeks before the party, the hubbs found a camo print romper so that was the deciding factor to mk the party a warriorbaby theme.
We also got a new printer to replace our dead one so that came in handy to print all the prop pics. I actually had qt alot of fun working on the decor in between taking care of baby. I even made baby sized props for Ethan & his little friends H & J hehe. Its been awhile since I did anything creative.
The sister managed to get a cute pack of soldiers & tanks which I used for the dining tables and cake (all sterilised beforehand), and then we put up some photos of E fr birth til now! From 1.3Kg to 4.5kg, from his entire chest being wrapped in a diaper to him now using an S size diaper… well he has certainly grown! Even his looks hv changed. He’s beginning to look alot like me.
And since I put in so much effort for the backdrop, I got everyone to tk photos with it.
Kwee shared on family, faith & fatherhood – perhaps the longest speech since our wedding, and then we happily stuffed our faces with choc cake. Thank You Lord & loved ones for such a great night!
