On a rare Saturday morning that the hubbs & I didnt have anything on, we decided to check out this fairly new cafe near our home. It used to be a place that sold overpriced fries ($10/bowl – really?!) but was now some kind of hipster fusion cafe. I honestly didnt hv super high expectations so we were pleasantly surprised when the food turned out to be quite gd.
Think hoisin duck pancakes & sirloin rendang toast. The flavors and combination were great!
I really wanted to try their very exciting sounding desserts but we were quite stuffed after our mains so we just settled on ice-cream and even then, the flavors were different fr the norm & all seemed so enticing. Sea salt caramel, yuzu.. mmm. Will definitely be back.
In baby news: Contrary to my fears & nightmares that E would NOT recognise or smile at me once I had gone back to work fulltime, he has in fact been lighting up our mornings with his super sweet grins.
He also kicks excitedly when we return to my parents’ place to pick him up and it’s all v sweet. I basically want to hug and smother him with a gazillion kisses.
He’s also been doing this new tongue trick which I find qt hilarious. Where do babies learn these things?!
