The weekend was packed with much celebration as the nation turned 49. It kickstarted with us attending the super gorgeous wedding of our friends K & J, and knowing that it was coordinated by K’s sister who was also my wedding coordinator, I expected no less. I especially love the floral gazebo & the white rose carpet.
Most of all, it was nice to catch up with old friends and hv them meet E!
Later that day, we headed out to the newly built Sports Hub for an urban picnic in hope of catching some fireworks and indeed, we were not disappointed! We couldnt get a full view but the tradeoff of a lesser crowd, ample parking and a more chillax atmosphere made it worthwhile. It was also E’s first national day & we initiated him with a SG tatt.
We had to move our mats a couple of times due to security restrictions & a slight drizzle but in the end, we had fun and we all ate our fills.
In just 49 years, SG has gone fr a third to almost first world country and we have much to thank our nation’s leaders, pioneers & God for. No matter how much I might like any other place in the world (like Positano), SG will always be where my heart is & I definitely want to die here. I cant even imagine migrating ever. How will I be able to survive without my bcm & ckt!
