After a really long time, finally managed to catch up with Jenn over a yummilicious lunch at Itacho. It was great to hear all that God had been revealing to her and just hv a no holds barred kinda sharing.
After that, we headed bk to my mum’s to pick E up to go to Gardens by the Bay & Jenn got to see how much he has grown since the last time!
He was obviously delighted to see her as evidenced by bouncy blurry pics!
Going to the Gardens has always been a favorite of mine. The blooms are gorgeous & different all year round, and the domes are weather-proof so rain or shine, I dont hv to shelf my plans. It’s also a place I can see myself going alone just to reconnect & recharge through (air-conditioned) nature. Very win-win. So it was to my absolute delight that Jenn gifted me with a “Friends of the Gardens” membership for my bday! Unlimited access for a year yay!
We had a great time looking at and trying not to touch all the pretty flowers, while marveling at the details that God had inscribed into each & every plant. It’s amazing. To think that God would take so much care shaping & tending to each of His creation truly awes & humbles me.
Of course, we also took a couple of wefies & how times have changed to see elderly citizens alongside zooming in on the blooms with their ipads!
After a lovely happy day of hanging out at the beautiful Gardens, I headed to the hubbs’ office to let E check out where papa works.
He was so curious and excitedly looked ard, as compared to falling asleep at the Gardens. So far, he’s always been quick to zzz when I bring him to my places of interests like the museum, bookstore, gardens. Hmmmm. Is it an early indication of his interests? Or maybe the quiet, cool ,contemplative nature of our outings takes him to lalaland quickly hehe.
Whatever it is, we had a great day and I feel so recharged! (:
