animal fun animal farm

I realised I didn’t do a post for my dad’s birthday so here it is, a month late. He turned 61 on 18 June and we celebrated with a visit to the zoo. He got his free entry and free ice-cream (main reason for the visit) and we got to bring Ethan to see the zoo for the first time. He couldn’t really follow where our fingers were pointing to when it came to the smaller, more hidden animals like monkeys in the tree but he definitely was able to see the lions, baboons and animals at the children’s zoo. We made haste to the water play area and Ethan had a splashing good time! Great thing was my sister was able to join us with her staff pass so it was free entry for the rest of us too.

On Hari Raya, we met up with the Chens at Seletar Mall for lunch followed by a visit to the animal resort. My expectations were low since Est already told me it wasn’t that big and I guess “resort” is a bit of a misnomer haha. Nonetheless, God graced us with good cloudy weather so it wasn’t too hot and we had a good time walking leisurely around and checking out the animals. Lucas loved the birds and Ethan enjoyed pointing at everything. I thought he would like to pet the horse but he retracted his hand in fear when we tried to get him to..oh well, maybe next time!

Glad for open spaces such as these to roam around in SG, Feel like my adventure quotient has upped after having a kid, especially one that isn’t very interested in toys at the moment so adventuring is the next best thing.
