Park Royal staycation

Our long anticipated Park Royal @ Pickering is finally here! The hubbs and I deposited E with my mum after KFC 2 and then headed off to check in..the plan was to have some private time together then pick E up on Monday to join us.

When we saw the room, kwee was like “remember what we used to do before E?” “Yes, sleep.” Hahahah. With that, we entered our rare Sunday nap zone.

Dinner was buffet at Lime and we had such a good time! The variety and quality satisfied me and I totally dug the chilli crab, sashimi plus “live station” squid ink pasta amongst others

Breakfast the next day was awesome and reminded me of the BKK Banyan tree breakfast buffet where the Kohs and us basically spent half our mornings at. The selection was good and again, I liked their “live station” fried noodles. Usually these would be soup based but at Lime, you chose the ingredients and the chef would wok fry it straight up. They also had live station eggs ben and the works.

Super happy with it esp since I loveee breakfasts and the promise of a new day ahead. Soon after, we walked to the Chinatown Heritage Centre to preview my sister’s 2 years worth of hard work and she gave us a private tour of the place. It was very well curated and put together!

Kwee pretending to make a suit at a mock tailor shop which actually looks like the real tailor shop at Batu Pahat.

Check out the old-school “pram”!

We then went off to pick Ethan up and he was really excited to see us. We had planned to go to POLW at Sentosa but the PSI reading was at 170 so we decided to go to Kidsstop instead.

When we first arrived, he was so excited that he sort of ran around in circles and had the “omgoodness x 10!!! Where do i start!!” expression. It was really funny. Conceptually, Kidsstop is a great idea with various interactive exhibits meant for 18 mths to 8 yo to play, dress up and learn. I thought the excavation site was esp cool where you could unearth the bones. Just that after some time, E started flinging sand so that was the cue to go.

Overall we had a gd time and cant complain for the very low $5/child $2/adult entry fee though the equipment could have been better maintained and the staff could have been a lil more enthusiastic. I would probably bring E back when he’s a little older and has slightly longer attention span?

Haze was still around the morning we were checking out but not as bad so we decided to take a dip in the lovely rooftop pool. Super cold but so nice!

And of course after a warm bath and some tv.. I watched these two snooze right before checkout.

Couldnt have asked for a better 2 days with my loves. I didnt even get kicked in the face with E sleeping between us! 😀
