Christmas has always been one of my favourite times of the year. Remembering the Lord’s goodness, reflecting on the year past and of course, much feasting with different groups of friends and family. Over the years, the volume of food I can and shld intake has decreased but the company of family & friends have continued to take centrestage. This year’s gift exchanges have also truly levelled up and I thoroughly enjoyed all the ones I got! Some of my favourite groups of ppl in the world:
The most special highlight of my Christmas season in the past two years has of course been Ethan. My little miracle born on Boxing Day that has not ceased to bring much joy and delight alongside sheer fatigue and moments where we are at wits’ end. Who am I kidding? Parenting is a package but one that has taught and stretched me so much to love beyond what I didnt even know I had.
We had a small family party for him on 25 Dec & I was torn between making it more Christmasy or more birthdayish. In the end I decided with more birthday decor since I had alr done 2 rounds of Christmasy decor. Home decor is sth I enjoy greatly; it helps me unwind and this year I finally got a tree! Ethan could put presents under it and he was best at being my elf distributing pressies likewise from it.
Look at my dad’s epic solemn face haha
The theme was everything Ethan likes/can say. Hence, football bunting, duck-print table cloth & apple print plates. I threw in Christmas crackers for that touch of festivity. They are always so much fun. Look at my mum and aunt:
After dinner, we had a round where E could “show off” the words he knew at aged 2 and also some bball skills. EVeryone clapped enthusiastically for him hahah. So obliging.
Then we had a round of gel followed by cake cutting & pressie-opening. I love yo watch E open presents with such abandon. He doesnt even really care about whats inside & whether its for him. He just enjoys ripping paper!
I love this boy so very much and pray that he will grow up to be as strong in the Lord as he is compassionate and loving ♡. May his life be a blessing to all around him as he has been to us.
A final shot of this super cute shot of the BANG kiddos where E just wldnt let go of his gift lol
